Bedford Elementary Student Council Provides STAR SERVICE

Our Student Council works hard to think of service projects that our school can do to help others! This school year our elementary has visited the nursing home residents, read to them, and created crafts for the facility. When Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast, our students brought in change to help the victims. Our elementary raised $350 that we donated to the American Red Cross! In November, we held our 2nd Annual food drive where we "Fed the Turkey!" The students brought in tons of food items that we donated to our local food pantry! In December, our students stepped up to the plate again and helped a family who lost everything due to a house fire by donating clothing, shoes, and toy items! As part of our Winter Homecoming, we helped to raise money for a "real life superhero!" The students brought in loose change to donate to Taylor Morris, a Marine who was injured in Afganistan and is now a quad amputee that is unstoppable. The Student Council representatives also pack backpacks every Friday with food items donated from the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches for families in need.

Bedford Elementary Promotes SCHOOL SPIRIT

Bedford Elementary students are always showing their school spirit when cheering on the Bulldogs!

Fall and Winter Homecoming allowed the students to get creative in showing their school pride! For Fall Homecoming, each elementary class designed a doghouse for Spike the Bulldog! The student council judged them and voted on a winner! The winner was Mrs. Meek's 3rd grade class!

Winter Homecoming's theme was Super Heroes! The elementary students dressed up like their favorite super hero! They also took part in a contest where they could each design a super hero cape for Spike the Bulldog! The student council chose a winner from each class!
